- The name of the Area Classification given to an SOA or DZ at the Supergoup level of the classification hierarchy. Supergroup is the top level of the hierarchy and can also be expanded into smaller Group and Subgroup classifications. There are 7 Supergroups - see detailed document for more information. The classification names have been chosen to represent groups as a whole and may not accurately describe each individual SOA or DZ. However all SOAs or DZs within a Supergroup share similar population characteristics.
