We had before us the report containing The Work Programme for the Committee as agreed at the meeting on 18^th June 2009 with subsequent changes that had been agreed by the Chairman, Vice Chairman and Spokespersons. Relevant service areas were consulted on the proposed reporting timescales.

The report also provided an extract of the Cabinet Forward Plan falling under the Remit of the Scrutiny Committee and progress on any outstanding references made by the Committee to Cabinet.

Resolved:  That (i) the items “Transition from Adolescence to Adulthood for People with Learning Disabilities” and “Disabled Facilities Grant” initially placed on the agenda for this meeting be reallocated to the agenda of the meeting of 5^th November 2009; and

(ii) that the “Voluntary Grants” item identified to be the subject of an extraordinary meeting be placed on the agenda of the extraordinary meeting to be called in October (See decision under item 7 (iv)); and

(iii) that we agree the work programme presented in the report before us.

The report setting out the Adult Social Services performance for the first quarter of 2009/10 (1^st April 2009 to 30^th June 2009) was before us for consideration.  It reviewed the results for 10 quarterly and monthly indicators for which performance data was reported to the Committee.  The report also presented the latest position for the ten indicators for which performance was only available on an annual basis.
