There will be a 20 minute period for public questions.  Members of the public are encouraged to submit their questions in advance of the meeting to facilitate a full answer on the day of the meeting.  Questions sent in advance will be dealt with first and verbal questions after.

 

The Chairman has asked that everyone with Transportation/ Highway questions make use of the drop in to discuss their issues with Officers.

Flood Issues

The Environment Agency has reported that there is a one in one hundred year chance of river flooding in parts of Aylesbury particularly Southcourt and Walton Court. Jo Slimin of the Environment Agency is to address the LAF about what can be done by the community to make sure residents and businesses have some level of preparedness to protect themselves and their property from such a hazard.  Jo has already worked with representatives from Aylesbury Town Council, BCC and AVDC. The LAF is asked to identify what further work can be undertaken to ensure communities are prepared for flooding in the area of Aylesbury.

To provide an opportunity to hear about the operational response of County and District Councils, with partners including Thames Valley Police, NHS Hospital Trust, Emergency Planning Teams and Arriva during the recent extreme weather conditions.
