Members of the public have the right to speak at meetings of the Strategic Planning Committee during consideration of planning applications.  Registration to speak at the meeting must be made with Democratic Services and should be received no later than 12 noon two working days before the Strategic Planning Committee meeting at which you wish to speak.  Forms to register to speak are available to download from the Council’s website or may be obtained by telephoning Democratic Services on 01872 322291.

09/00095 Land at Trevithick Manor, Newquay TR8 4QB PDF 702 KB

Mixed-use development.  Outline element (approval of access sought): 120 dwellings including 48 affordable homes with employment generating space to approximately 15,750 m2.  Full element: 3836 m2 – employment generating uses – permission is sought for all 'B' class uses at this stage.  The balance between B1, B2 and B8 to be determined in due course (B1a and B1b uses expected to be minimal).

Initial planning permission is sought for the drilling of three deep wells to an approximate depth of 5000m with associated pumping and test equipment and temporary erection of on-site offices, welfare facilities and research and educational facilities.  Furthermore, outline planning permission is sought for the development of the power generating plant, pumping equipment, electrical infrastructure and buildings.

Construction and operation of a refuse transfer station including associated groundwork, infrastructure, car parking, landscaping and highway improvements to Druids Road and its junction with Wilson Way.  The development includes a new site egress which would serve both the refuse transfer station and the existing adjacent material recycling facility.
