When the continuous alarm sounds you must evacuate the building by the nearest available fire exit. Members and visitors should proceed to the visitors’ car park at the front of the building and await further instructions (staff should proceed to their usual assembly point). Please do not re-enter the building unless instructed to do so.

In the event of a fire any person with a disability should be assisted in leaving the building.

Pursuant to the adoption by the Council on 24 September 2007 of the Tewkesbury Borough Council Code of Conduct as set out in Minute No. CL.31, Members are invited to declare any interest they may have in the business set out on the Agenda to which the approved Code applies.

Members are reminded that they should, at all times, observe the Code in carrying out their duties and that they signed such an undertaking in their Declaration of Acceptance of Office.

To approve the Minutes of the Licensing Committee meetings held on 11 February 2010 and 18 May 2010 and the Minutes of the Licensing-Sub Committee (Street Trading and Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles, Drivers and Operators) meetings held on 10 March 2010, 30 March 2010 and 22 April 2010.

To approve the draft revised Policy on the Relevance of Convictions for Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Drivers and the draft Policy on the Suspension, Revocation or Refusal to Renew Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Driver Licences and to recommend their adoption to the Executive Committee.

To consider the proposed amendments to the Statement of Licensing Policy and to approve the draft revised Statement for consultation with all relevant parties. 

To consider the amended provisions of Schedule 3 of the Local Government (Miscellaneous Provisions) Act 1982 and to recommend to Council that these be adopted with effect from 1 December 2010 with authority being delegated to the Senior Licensing Officer to carry out the necessary advertising requirements to comply with Section 2 of the Act, as amended.

To conduct the annual review of the Hackney Carriage Tariff.

The Chairman will move the adoption of the following resolution:

That under Section 100(A)(4) Local Government Act 1972, the public be excluded for the following items on the grounds that they involve the likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in Part 1 of Schedule 12A of the Act.

To approve the separate Minutes of the Licensing Sub-Committee (Street Trading and Hackney Carriage and Private Hire Vehicles, Drivers and Operators) meetings held on 10 March 2010, 30 March 2010 and 22 April 2010.
