To consider the Council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s response to the consultation on the future arrangements for the provision of community health services in Worcestershire.

NHS Worcestershire \u00e2\u20ac\u201c the Primary Care Trust - is currently consulting on proposals to change the way in which community health services are provided across the County. \nThe proposals are set out in the document \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Community Health Services in Worcestershire: Your opportunity to influence the future\u00e2\u20ac* which is on the Trust\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s website here:

Councillors were invited to an event on 25th August to discuss the issues. \nIn addition all Councillors have been sent a briefing note prepared by the Director of Public Health, Richard\nHarling, which set out the general proposals for the reform of health services in the White Paper, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Equity and Excellence: Liberating the NHS\u00e2\u20ac*.

Wychavon\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s Health Scrutiny Team is meeting during the afternoon of 31st August and prior to the Council meeting, to consider the proposals and make recommendations about the Council\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s response.
