<p class="MsoNormal">Cheshire West and Chester Council agreed on 2
April 2009 the following terms of reference:-</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">“A Transitional Appeals Panel be
appointed consisting of 3 appropriately trained Members of the
Committee to hear and determine appeals by staff under the former
Cheshire County Council’s, Vale Royal Borough
Council’s, Ellesmere Port and Neston Borough Council’s
and Chester City Council’s approved personnel policies and
procedures.”</p>

<p class="mgAiTitleTxt">Declarations of Interest</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">A total period of 15 minutes is allocated for
members of the public to address the Committee on any matter
relevant to the work of the Committee, subject to the
Chairman’s discretion.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">In order for officers to undertake any
background research it would be helpful if questions were submitted
at least a day before the meeting.</p>
<p class="MsoNormal"> </p>
<p class="MsoNormal">Individual members of the public may speak for
up to five minutes.</p>

<p class="mgAiTitleTxt">Any other business which the Chairman considers urgent that may be dealt with in the public part of the meeting.</p>

<p class="mgAiTitleTxt">Exclusion of the Press and Public</p>

<p class="MsoNormal">The Staffing Committee
may decide that the press and public be excluded from the remaining
part of the meeting pursuant to Section 100(A)4 of the Local
Government Act 1972 on the grounds that discussions may involve the
likely disclosure of exempt information as defined in the
provisions of Part 1 of Schedule 12A to the Local Government Act
1972 and public interest would not be served in publishing the
information.</p>
