THE ANTICIPATED LEGACY OF THE 2012 OLYMPICS IN LEICESTER CITY PDF 1 MB
Councillor Newcombe, Chair of the review of the anticipated legacy of the 2012 Olympics in Leicester City, submits the draft report of this review. The Commission is recommended to:-
a) consider the report and comment as appropriate; and
b) agree that, when finalised, the report be passed to the Cabinet for consideration.
REVIEW OF EVENTS AND FESTIVALS
The Cultural Quarter Projects Director is leading the current review of Events and Festivals.
As this review has elements common to both this Commission and the Economic Development, Culture and Tourism Scrutiny Commission, it is recommended that a presentation be made jointly to both Commissions that will enable them to consider the options and proposals arising from the review that are forming the basis of public consultation. This will enable Members to gain an understanding of the review from each Commission’s perspective and to focus scrutiny of the review accordingly.
Members are recommended to endorse this approach and to agree that a joint presentation be held when appropriate.
