To answer any written and/or oral questions from a County Councillor or anyone living or working in the county, or who is affected by the work of the County Council, about matters which relates to any item on the agenda for this meeting.

Up to 30 minutes is allowed for this item.

The closing date/time for receipt of written questions is 6 pm on 7 June 2012.  Please send questions to the Chief Executive marked for the attention of Jane Cleaver.

An oral question may be asked by a member of the public if notice of the question is given to the person presiding or the Chief Executive’s representative by the questioner at least 30 minutes prior to the start of the meeting.

(Depending on the nature of the questions asked it may not be possible to provide a comprehensive answer at the meeting, in which case a written answer will be supplied as soon as reasonably possible after the meeting.)

Questions received and proposed responses do not accompany this agenda but will be circulated prior to the meeting.

To approve the Skills Funding Agency Conditions of Funding allocation for 2012/13.

To seek Cabinet's decision on the procurement options for tendering, to gain approval to tender for 31 Children’s Centres within Gloucestershire and agree delegated officer authority is given to award the contract

To seek approval for the procurement of a competitive tender for “Growing Great Futures” (Gloucestershire Parent-led Opportunities) and to award a two year contract for a single supplier to develop parent-led services in Children’s Centres across Gloucestershire

To seek agreement for Gloucestershire County Council to participate in the re-tendering for a regional pre-qualified list of contracted independent foster service providers for participating local authorities, to take effect from the 1st April 2013.

To agree proposed plan for commissioning Youth Support Services from April 2013 – at end of current contract with Prospects, and to make a decision on plan for commissioning Youth Support Services from April 2013, following detailed work on the business case, and a stakeholder and staff review of options and proposals. 

To provide Cabinet with strategic oversight of the Council’s performance during 2011/12
