The Sunday Times had been ordered to hand over the tape to police investigating the allegation that Mr Huhne had persuaded Ms Pryce to take speeding points on his behalf but the Times said it would appeal. However the Evening Standard claims a lawyer has told the paper they are no grounds to appeal the order. The Sunday times claims Mr Huhne can be heard warning Ms Pryce not to give the story \\u00e2\\u20ac\\u02dclegs\\u00e2\\u20ac\\u2122 by discussing it with the press however he can also be heard denying the allegations. The Sunday Times has reported that at a private hearing last week a judge ordered the evidence to be given to the police. According to the broadsheet the tape recording is of a conversation between Vicky Pryce and Mr Huhne in which she tells the MP she fears a police investigation saying: \\u00e2\\u20ac\\u0153It\\u00e2\\u20ac\\u2122s one of the things that worried me when I took them \\u00e2\\u20ac\\u201c when you made me take the points in the first place\\u00e2\\u20ac\\u009d It\\u00e2\\u20ac\\u2122s understood that when the estranged couple were interviewed separately the police Ms Pryce did not repeat the allegations she had previously made to The Sunday Times and Mr Huhne chose to remain silent \\u00e2\\u20ac\\u201c although he has strenuously denied any wrong doing publically.
