Eastleigh mum-of-two, Amy Lane, has scooped a top prize in a prestigious national blogging award.  The MAD (Mum and Dad) Blog Awards celebrate everything that is great about the UK’s parent blogging community. Amy, 32, won the Best Food Blog at a glitzy gala ceremony in London. While being interviewed BBC Radio Solent’s Katie Martin show last Thursday  she described how she was ‘totally astounded’ and ‘gobsmacked’ to discover she was to receive the award: Amy Lane with Katie Martin In her blog, Cooking, Cakes and Children, Amy, writes about her baking adventures and recipes, her crafts and activities with her daughters, aged 3 and 7 and says she has a large following of loyal readers. As well as her successful blog, the Newtown ‘mumpreneur’ has her own cake decorating business, Cake Shop Corner, which she runs from her home.
